Nanna's Heartbreak

Nana needs to write because Nana needs to know
how things are going, does the East wind really blow?
Nana’s have no hurry but Nana’s really worry
if your really happy do you still wear a Nappie?

Nana’s house is full of pets, it costs a fortune at the vets
There’s Missy and Dilly and Matilda (Tiddles) too!
Missy gave birth the other day to seven little kittens
they really are brand new!

Nana really loves you and Nana really cares
Nana always remembers you when she says her prayers
so say a prayer for Nana when you go to bed
God bless you little Kaitlyn on your curly head!

The Social Worker poem.

I am a social worker,
I'm really very nice.
I help you loving mothers,
And give you good advice!

Your partner has departed
Your income is too low.
I'm really very sorry,
All your kids will have to go !

You have a learning problem,
You're really not too clever
We'll get your kids adopted
When can you see them?? NEVER!!

Your son is hyperactive?
You need a brief respite;
We'll get your kids adopted
Give up the hopeless fight!

Your child was taken into care,
So many years ago
If now you have a baby
That too will have to go!

Foster parents love your kids
To get some more they seek,
For each one brings a tidy sum
£400 per week !!

Children's homes are run by us ,
Where paedophiles abound
Each time we cover up abuse
"The gutter press" come round .

"They" said adoptions worked the best
We soon proved that they would
Fathers shout and mothers cry
Their kids are gone for good!

What happens in our special courts?
Our experts they will say
"You're a danger to your children,
So we'll take them all away!"

Your children may be healthy,
Happy and well fed
But one day you might hurt them
That's what our experts said

The judges know that we are right,
With us they will agree
They dare not risk another course
You have no chance you see !

Our special courts are secret,
So don't you breathe a word
Of what goes on inside those walls
No matter how absurd !

We'll get your kids adopted,
And don't you dare complain!
Or you'll end up in prison
And I won't say that again!

We have adoption targets,
They must be met you see,
Failure means a reprimand,
So spare a thought for me !!!

The journey

The Journey, As we start upon lifes journey ,we are filled with hope .We tremble with delight at the very first sight ,of our very first bundle of delight . We see a future filled with a very bright light , Never guessing for a moment one day you would be gone from our sight . never guessing what a moment of anger could ignite ,when we lose sight of a future thats bright .and a lifetime of delight . The child we bared gone from our sight ,and with her the the granchildren in which we delight ,and out goes the light .OHh how we wish we could reignite the light ,the love and the delight . And have once again a future thats bright .The children are a delight of which we must not lose sight . How we wishwith all our might for a future that is bright , but for now it,s always night.

The Light of Our Lives.
by Jane on Sun Nov 16, 2008 7:47 pm
All across the world, same time, same day,the 18th of December,
Grandparents will unite and light a bright candle to remember,
All our precious boys and girls, taken from us, so suddenly,so sad,
We all join together, to share ,to talk, trying hard not to feel so bad.

What can I do, what can I say, to all of you to ease your pain,
These feelings, this sickness, to difficult to explain,
To all our Grandchildren, wherever they may be,we ache as we must,
We pray you are safe, happy and that you will always remember us.

I FEEL for BUT CANNOT HOLD THE SWEETEST BOY I KNOW,AND FOR YOU I SHED A TEAR. I THINK AND I REMEMBER AND FOR YOU I HAVE A SMILE. ALL OUR LOVE NANNA AND GRANDAD PATERSON.

The wonder of pain
by Karen on Fri Jan 16, 2009 1:25 am
as i sit `and wonder why , people tell an awful lie .it makes me sit and cry and wish that i could die , for although i really try to withhold that great big sigh , no one seems to buythe smile that hides my pain. although i try in vain to hide this terrible pain ,there is it seems nothing to gain from hiding my pain , for things remain the same . for we are part of this big game, and you and i will never be the same . for it seems we are always to blame. even though we had nothing to gain. Although we have to suffer the pain , we must keep trying even if it is in vain , for the prize we have to gain is worth any amount of pain. karen wrote for Scot and Olivia

What is a Gran.
by Jane on Sat Feb 07, 2009 11:06 am
A Gran is like a big armchair,
Someone who listens and cares.
She is wise and never judges,
Just there with caring nudges.

A Granddaughter is like a huge sunflower,
Always smiling, is her power,
Bright and lively, never still,
Her birth was such a thrill.

Where has it all gone wrong,
Just to hear her pretty song,
I would give anything, to hear her sing,
To hold her hand, is everything.

by Jane on Fri Jan 16, 2009 4:13 pm
What heartache we feel, how to ease your pain?
Its grey outside and is beginning to rain,
Your tears are silent and yet so loud,
Your words so heartfelt, should make you proud.

I am at a loss to know how to help,we talk,we write,
But it is never enough,to ease your fright,
Just one small thing, will stop this muddle,
An amazing kiss and a HUGE, great cuddle.
Lots of love.xx

The Special Story.
by Jane on Mon Dec 08, 2008 7:20 pm
Today I watched the little ones, angels, kings and fluffy sheep,
Memories when my children were on stage, memories to savour and to keep,
Telling the story we hear, at this time of the year, carols ringing out,
Teachers saying with encouragement, that there is no need to shout!

I wonder what my Granddaughter is in the important tale,
I have no doubt, she will raise a smile without fail,
How I long to see her, perhaps a donkey or maybe a star,
That tiny babe, his mum and dad, three kings from afar.

I my garden standing proud,a special Christmas tree,
With messages from Grandparents, their thoughts will fly free
Straight to the hearts of their precious ones, hugs and kiss
Across the miles, over the water, to those we miss.

Grandparents at Christmas
by jimmy on Tue Nov 25, 2008 4:27 pm
The magic of Christmas, is children are knowing
That Santa is coming with red nose a glowing
And granny and grandpa are coming tomorrow
all for us children, for joy and not sorrow.

The families are happy, together again
Let’s keep joy forever with no woe or pain.
We do love our granny she helps us so much
and granda will tell you, that he’s no soft touch,

but he’s a big softy , and sometimes talks rough
but I can get round him. So he’s not so tough.
we love when we’re with them, there so kind to me
We’ll bake cakes and carry, them through for our tea.

My granda plays with me at cricket in the park
but we have to watch out, in case it gets dark
for he is not young now and his eyes are so dim
we need to take over to make sure he gets in.

we do love our grandee’s whom we see all the time
I feel sorry for children that are not off so fine
but god bless this Christmas that children everywhere
will contact their grandparent’s to show that they care.

If your family has problems, make sure you are smart
call Margaret or Jimmy, at Grandparents Apart.
They are good listeners, advice they will give
so children and families in peace will all live

phone them now, and don’t be late
tell them your story and make a date.
Come to their meetings in the PI
at Govan X is where it does lie.

Have a good Christmas full of good cheer
May your family be happy this coming new year.
Bless all the children in your house tonight
And pray god looks over you, to keep love abright.

the fight
by Karen on Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:18 am
once again i sit and stare ,

outside my window,we used to share

once again i sit and think,
of all the things that you might think.
this situation really does stink,
what on EARTH made THEM think
our family should be extinct.

but one day soon, and it WILL come
we know the people they will run
to join the FIGHT, we must unite.
and boy will they get a fright

And so my darling powers that be,
Dont ever,ever lose sight
of the fact that we will never give up the fight
FOR FAMILIES TO RE UNITE

SO GIVE UP YOUR FIGHT YOU POWERS THAT BE,
FOR IN THE FUTURE YOU SHALL SEE
HOW POWERFUL WE CAN BE.
OUR NUMBERS ARE GROWING
AND ITS PLAIN TO SEE
WHO DO THEY BELIEVE YOU OR ME?
All of those secrets you try not to share
believe me we are getting there,

Liandra, are you happy, are you safe?
How we wish we could touch your face,
Our lives are empty, our hearts are sad,
If you could be here with us,we would be so glad.
You are smiling at us in your photo frame,
A beautiful girl, with a beautiful name.
We love you more than words can say,
We will be together one day.

Miss Missing

MISS MISSING

I've cryed all my tears, drank all my beers, now I'm going to bed cause I feel dead
I'm so tierd of thinking and missing you
Travelled thousands of miles, spent thousands of pounds,
been in and out of court for the last 5 years but still your mum won't let me see you

I'll never give up, I'll never give in, cause I'm your dad and comitted no sin,
despite all the lies your mum may say.
day in day out I think of you, I'll do everything that I can do,
I won't give in, it's not my way, well be together if I win the day.

You've not got your Gran and your Grandad too, Auntys, uncles and cousins all feel blue
Your wee sister step mum and brothers, you deserve us although it seems no one bothers.
In the best interest of the child they said, but in the best interest of the mother was actualy served,
I won't rest until justice has been fought, you are our love and you have missed out on such lot.

my poem to reece from all the family
by charlie solomon on Thu Jun 05, 2008 12:00 am
To Reece our Golden Boy

Oh how I wish we could turn back the clock,
And the golden time’s we had
The hug’s the love’s the kisses
We never dreampt would part
This my boy to leave us
With our broken hearts.

We watch you pass us day by day
And see you grow so tall
But because your mum &dad fell out
And the effect has on us all
Son that’s just why we cant reach out
And give to you our all.

But your getting older yes older day by day
And soon to learn the truth son
Why we had to stay away.

We tried & tried to get your mum
To have a change of heart
To try and get us all as one
And never more to part

We have on disc the card’s we sent
And the letter’s sent to you
We also have the letter’s from mediation to
The one’s mum did not answer
For the sake off seeing you
But listen now my grandson please let me tell you this don’t take this out on mum as that’s not what its for
We did not do this for revenge but to say you were not to blame for we loved you every moment
From whence the day you came.

Now just one word before I go and just to tell you this
yes your mum can keep us well apart
But son remember one more thing
She cant take you from our heart s

shades of grey

when the world and i were young
just yesterday
life was such a simple game a child
could play

it was easy than to know right from wrong
easy than to know weak from strong
when a man should stand and fight
or just go along

but today there is no black or white
today there is no day or night
only shades of grey

i remember when
the answers seemed so clear
we never lived without
or tasted fear

but today
there is no day or night
today there is no dark or light
today there is no black or white
only shades of grey

A TRUE STORY
by jimmy on Fri Feb 01, 2008 9:24 am
T'was the night before Christmas, the four children slept
The "ss" were coming, their mother just wept !
Five burly policemen soon broke down the door,
We've come for your children,we must take all four!
The "ss" have told you "keep perfectly calm"
Your kids are at risk of emotional harm !
So struggling and kicking and screaming with fright
Four little children went off in the night !
The mother sat weeping, her children were lost
Adoption the target, and don't count the cost!
The welfare of children ,that is the thing,
And think of the cash that adoption will bring !

*~*~*Sarah*~*~*

*~*~*Sarah*~*~*

My name is Sarah
I am but three,
My eyes are swollen
I cannot see

I must be stupid
I must be bad,
What else could have made
My abusers so mad?

I wish I were better
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy
would still want to hug me.

I can't speak at all
I can't do a wrong
Or else I'm locked up
All the day long.

When I awake I'm all alone
The house is dark
My folks aren't home.

When my abusers do come
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll get just
One whipping tonight.

Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
My abusers are back
From Charlie's Bar

I hear them curse
My name they call
I press myself
Against the wall.

I try and hide
From their evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry.

They find me weeping
The shout ugly words,
They say its my fault
That they have to work.

They slap me and hit me
And yell at me more,
I finally get free
And I run for the door.

They’ve already locked it
And I start to bawl,
They take me and throw me
Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor
With my bones nearly broken,
And my abusers continue
With more bad words spoken.

"I'm sorry!", I scream
But its now much too late
their faces are twisted
Into unimaginable hate.

The hurt and the pain
Again and again
Oh please God, have mercy!
Oh please let it end!

And they finally stop
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor.

My name is Sarah
And I am but three,
Tonight my abusers
Murdered me.

All of us must be deeply moved by this tragedy that possibly could have been prevented
Again and again we hear of horrors like this but what are we doing about it. Let’s not let little Sarah and Aaron's (link below) murder be in vain.

Our group exposed the plight of children like Sarah and Aaron. 'The Forgotten Children' we call them. The children who are suffering secretly day after day until they land up in hospital or worse due to the maladministration of family law. You can help put a stop to the forgotten children being abused by sparing a couple of hours at the demo or emailing Scottish Ministers link:- scottish.ministers@scotland.gsi.gov.uk in support of our demo to show you care about children like Sarah and Aaron http://aaron-gilbert.gonetoosoon.co.uk/my_index.php
Help us to demand an investigation into how this can be prevented.

Ideally children should have the protection of both parents as there is much evidence to support this.. As outlined in our petition Children 1ST first are asking the government to give Scottish grandparents the right to information about their grandchildren’s welfare where they could be in danger in drug and alcohol homes. Grandparents do have a unique relationship with their grandchildren unequalled by any professional organisation.

We could make a demo world wide in memory of Little Aaron.

A VALENTINE FOR GRANDMA

IVE WRITTEN MANY A POEM FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO ENJOY, TONIGHT ID LIKE TO WRITE SOMETHING FOR A WOMAN WHO AS BEEN A ROCK, A WIFE, A LOVER, A FREIND, BUT MOST OF ALL A GRANDMA.

CAN I WRITE I LOVE YOU

IF I HAD TO WRITE A VALENTINES POEM
TO PROVE MY LOVE FOR YOU
DO YOU THINK I COULD DO IT
AND WOULD IT READ TRUE

MANY A YEAR
ROMANTIC WORDS DO I WRITE
I STUDY MY CRAFT
BY DAY, AND BY NIGHT

ITS EASY TO WRITE FOR OTHER PEOPLE
YOU SEE
BUT I WRITE FROM THE HEART
WHEN WRITTING FOR YOU, AND FOR ME

BUT AS GOD AS I AM
THE QUESTION REMAINS
IN MY POETRY
THERE HAS TO BE AIMS

AS IM SAT HERE NOW
I THINK OF THE NEXT LINE
HOW TO WRITE I LOVE YOU
BUT MOST OF ALL, WILL IT RHYME

ALASS IM AT A LOSS
I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO
IM NOT AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT I WAS
SO ILL JUST SAY " CHRISTINE I LOVE YOU "

YOUR LVE FOREVER, ANDY GREEN.

THE GAME
by Greeny on Sat Feb 02, 2008 7:09 pm
I KNOW SAID THE SOCIAL WORKER
LETS PLAY SOME GAMES
LETS TAKE AWAY SOME CHILDREN
AND GIVE THEM DIFFERENT NAMES

OH JUST THINK
THE GAMES WILL BE A DREAM
DRAGGING THEM OFF
AS THEY KICK AND THEY SCREAM

BUT SAID A SOCIAL WORKER
WHEN DO WE KNOW WHOS WON
THATS EASY SAID ANOTHER
10 POINTS FOR GRANDOUGHTER, 20 FOR GRANDSON

BUT WHAT DO WE DO
WHEN SOMEONE DARES TO FIGHT
WE COME UP WITH SOME LIES
AND DIG OUR HEELS IN TIGHT

I KNOW SAID ONE WE CAN DO AN ASSESMENT
THAT WILL BE A FROLIC
AND JUST FOR GOOD MEASURE
WE CAN SAY GRANDMAS ALCOHOLIC

OH THE COURT CASE
WILL DRAG ON FOR YEARS
WE CAN SIT AT THE BACK
AND LAUGH AT GRANDMA IN TEARS

OH NO SAID ONE
I THINK GRANDMAS GOT WISE
SHES READ THE ASSESMENT
AND UNCOVERED ALL OUR LIES

SO SOCIAL WORKER
NOW YOU HAVE FINISHED YOUR GAME
I SUGGEST YOU LEAVE THE COURTROOM
AND HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME

YOU WALKED IN AN ANGEL
YOU WALKED OUT A SINNER
ALL GRANDMA HAD WAS LOVE
AND IT WAS LOVE THAT WAS THE WINNER

WHEN YOU START A GAME
THATS PLAYED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
JUST REMEMBER SOCIAL WORKER
THIE CHILD IN THE GAME COULD JUST BE YOURS

DIRTY DEEDS
by Greeny on Fri Feb 01, 2008 8:08 pm
we fought very long and very hard against ss for the right to look after our grandchildren, when the fight has been won and the children are safe is that the end, no, not by a long chalk, try explaining to a child why there with you, this poem may help.

EVERY NIGHTS THE SAME
THE QUESTIONS START TO COME
WHY DO WE LIVE HERE
AND NOT WITH OUR MUM

AT FIRST THEY LOVED IT
ALLWAYS HAVING A LARK
LIVING BESIDE THE SEA,THE PLAYGROUND,THE FEILDS
THE PARK

BUT THREE YEARS ON THERE OLDER
AND ITS ANSWERS THAT THEY NEED
WHAT DO I TELL THEM
THEIR QUESTIONS I MUST FEED

I WANT TO SIT THEM DOWN
AND TELL IT FROM MY HEART
HOW MUM AND DAD
NEARLY KEPT US ALL APART

TO TELL THEM OF THE FIGHTING
THAT ME AND GRANDMA HAD TO DO
TO LET THEM READ THE STORIES
OF WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH

I DIDNT STEAL THESE KIDS
AWAY FROM THIER MUM
THEY ARE JUST A BYPRODUCT
OF DIRTY DEEDS THAT WERE DONE

ANDY GREEN.

PLEASE LISTEN

MUM AND DAD LISTEN
IVE SOMETHING TO SAY
ID LIKE TO ASK YOU BOTH
WHY YOU TREAT ME THIS WAY

ONCE UPON A TIME
YOU HAD LOVE IN YOUR EYES
THERE NOW FILLED WTH HATE
EACH OTHER YOU DESPISE

THE ANGER IN YOUR LIFE
I PLAINLY SEE
BUT IS IT FAIR
TO TAKE IT OUT ON ME

YOU MAKE ME BEHAVE
WITH A SLAP OF YOUR HAND
WHY DO YOU DO THAT
I DONT UNDERSTAND

IF ALL THAT YOU WANT
IS SOMEONE TO SMACK
TRY HITTING GRANDAD
NO, COZ HE LL HIT YOU BACK

PLEASE THINK WHAT YOUR DOING
BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A DAY
WHEN A LADY TURNS UP
AND TAKES ME AWAY

I DONT WANT TO LIVE
WITH STRANGERS YOU SEE
I WANT TO LIVE HERE
MUM DAD AND ME

LOOK INTO HIS EYES
LIKE ON YOUR FIRST DATE
LET JOY REPLACE ANGER
LET LOVE REPLACE HATE

THANKS FOR LISTENING
TO YOUR SONS PLEA
I LOVE YOU BOTH LOTS
AND WANT YOU TO LOVE ME.

THE WISH
by Greeny on Fri Feb 01, 2008 4:52 pm
Two christmases ago i was working on some poems, it was 2 am, and i needed insperation , my granddaughter appeared saying she couldnt sleep, so she sat on my knee for a few minuates then i tucked her into bed, here is the poem that followed, thanks for the insperation chelsea.

OUT OF THE WINDOW I STARED TONIGHT
INTO THE COLD DARK AIR
I THOUGHT MY EYES DECEIVED ME
OR WAS THERE SOMETHING THERE

HIGH UP IN THE SKY
I SAW A DARTING LIGHT
BEAUTIFUL COLOURS FILLED MY EYES
IT WAS AN AWSOME SIGHT

IT SEEMED TO GO AFAR
THEN IT SEEMED TO COME SO NEAR
THEN IT WAS CLOUDY
ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WAS CLEAR

THEN THE STANGEST THING
IT WAS THERE ON THE WINDOWSILL
NOW IT DIDNT MOVE
WE BOTH WERE VERY STILL

THEN I HEARD A VOICE
OMMITED FROM THE LIGHT
YOU CAN HAVE JUST ONE WISH
BUT YOU HAVE TO WISH TONIGHT

THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS I WANTED
I COULD BE A MILLIONAIRE
OR DRIVE A ROLLS ROYCE CAR
AND MAKE THE PEOPLE STARE

THEN A VOICE BEHIND ME
ASKED, WHAT ARE YOU WISHING FOR
HAVE A LOOK AROUND YOU GRANDAD
YOU COULDNT WISH FOR MORE

THIS LITTLE CHILD BESIDE ME
PLACED A KISS UPON MY CHEEK
IVE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE
I KNOW YOUR NOT THAT WEAK

YOUVE GOT A WISH TO MAKE
YOU COULD BE A MILLIONAIRE
OR DRIVE A ROLLS ROYCE
TO MAKE THE PEOPLE STARE

BUT WHAT WOULD THEY THINK ABOUT YOU
AND WOULD IT CHANGE YOUR WAY
OR WOULD YOU ALLWAYS REGRET
THE WISH YOU HAD THAT DAY

THEN SHE SAW IN MY EYES
I KNEW THAT SHE WAS RIGHT
I PUT MY ARMS AROUND HER
AND CUDDLED HER REAL TIGHT

I DIDNT WASTE MY WISH
AND IN TIME YOU ALL WILL SEE
I WANT ALL OF YOU TO BE HAPPY
AS A GRANDAD SUCH AS ME

SHE JUMPED DOWN OFF MY KNEE
AND WITH HER LOVING
ITS TIME FOR BED GRANDAD
AND SHE TOOK ME BY THE ARM

AS WE LEFT THE ROOM
I LOOKED TO SEE THE LIGHT
BUT IT WAS NO LONGER THERE
IT HAD VANISHED OUT OF SIGHT

I HAD A WISH THAT NIGHT
BUT IN THE LIGHT I DIDNT SEE
EVERYTHING I COULD EVER WISH FOR
WAS STANDING NEXT TO ME

Two christmases ago i was working on some poems, it was 2 am, and i needed insperation , my granddaughter appeared saying she couldnt sleep, so she sat on my knee for a few minuates then i tucked her into bed, here is the poem that followed, thanks for the insperation chelsea.

OUT OF THE WINDOW I STARED TONIGHT
INTO THE COLD DARK AIR
I THOUGHT MY EYES DECEIVED ME
OR WAS THERE SOMETHING THERE

HIGH UP IN THE SKY
I SAW A DARTING LIGHT
BEAUTIFUL COLOURS FILLED MY EYES
IT WAS AN AWSOME SIGHT

IT SEEMED TO GO AFAR
THEN IT SEEMED TO COME SO NEAR
THEN IT WAS CLOUDY
ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WAS CLEAR

THEN THE STANGEST THING
IT WAS THERE ON THE WINDOWSILL
NOW IT DIDNT MOVE
WE BOTH WERE VERY STILL

THEN I HEARD A VOICE
OMMITED FROM THE LIGHT
YOU CAN HAVE JUST ONE WISH
BUT YOU HAVE TO WISH TONIGHT

THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS I WANTED
I COULD BE A MILLIONAIRE
OR DRIVE A ROLLS ROYCE CAR
AND MAKE THE PEOPLE STARE

THEN A VOICE BEHIND ME
ASKED, WHAT ARE YOU WISHING FOR
HAVE A LOOK AROUND YOU GRANDAD
YOU COULDNT WISH FOR MORE

THIS LITTLE CHILD BESIDE ME
PLACED A KISS UPON MY CHEEK
IVE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE
I KNOW YOUR NOT THAT WEAK

YOUVE GOT A WISH TO MAKE
YOU COULD BE A MILLIONAIRE
OR DRIVE A ROLLS ROYCE
TO MAKE THE PEOPLE STARE

BUT WHAT WOULD THEY THINK ABOUT YOU
AND WOULD IT CHANGE YOUR WAY
OR WOULD YOU ALLWAYS REGRET
THE WISH YOU HAD THAT DAY

THEN SHE SAW IN MY EYES
I KNEW THAT SHE WAS RIGHT
I PUT MY ARMS AROUND HER
AND CUDDLED HER REAL TIGHT

I DIDNT WASTE MY WISH
AND IN TIME YOU ALL WILL SEE
I WANT ALL OF YOU TO BE HAPPY
AS A GRANDAD SUCH AS ME

SHE JUMPED DOWN OFF MY KNEE
AND WITH HER LOVING
ITS TIME FOR BED GRANDAD
AND SHE TOOK ME BY THE ARM

AS WE LEFT THE ROOM
I LOOKED TO SEE THE LIGHT
BUT IT WAS NO LONGER THERE
IT HAD VANISHED OUT OF SIGHT

I HAD A WISH THAT NIGHT
BUT IN THE LIGHT I DIDNT SEE
EVERYTHING I COULD EVER WISH FOR
WAS STANDING NEXT TO ME

A CHILDS PLAYGROUND
by Greeny on Fri Feb 01, 2008 4:12 pm
COME TO ME CHILD
IVE A STORY TO TELL
LIFE IS A PLAYGROUND
IN THAT PLAYGROUND YOU FELL

IT WASNT YOUR FAULT
THAT YOU TOOK A STEP AND SLIPPED
THERE WAS A PLAYGROUND BULLY
AND IT WAS YOU THAT THEY TRIPPED

BUT LIKE ANY CHILD THATS LOVED
YOU WILL BE DUSTED DOWN
WE WILL PUT OUR ARMS AROUND YOU
OUR PROTECTION WILL SURROUND

WE WILL PUT ON A PLASTER
AND KISS AWAY YOUR PAIN
WE WILL TAKE YOU TO THE GATES
IN LIFES PLAYGROUND, YOULL PLAY AGAIN

ANDY GREEN.

a poem for auntie
by Greeny on Thu Jan 31, 2008 7:29 pm
i love writing poems, some times the mind dries up and i need a topic to get me going, this is such a poem , not all grandparents are fighting, some aunties are to, i was asked to write a poem for an aunt, here it is.

I MAY NOT HAVE A GRANDMA
AND I MAY NOT HAVE A MUM
BUT I HAVE A SPECIAL PERSON
WHO TREATS ME LIKE A SON

ALLTHOUGH SHE HAS OTHER CHILDREN
I AM NOT PUT APART
SHE BUILT A LITTLE EXTENSION
IN THE CORNER OF HER HEART

LIKE ALL HER OTHER CHILDREN
SHE TUCKS ME UP REAL TIGHT
THEN KISSES ME ON THE FOREHEAD
AND WHISPERS, GOD BLESS NIGHT NIGHT

WHEN SHES LEFT THE ROOM
I SAY SOME LITTLE PRAYERS
I THANK BABY JESUS
FOR AN AUNT THAT REALY CARES.

ANDY.

Gina's poem

Last year a woman I came to know put up a heart full fight for her grandson, alas, it wasn’t the SS that took the child away from her, it was her son, she was
heartbroken, she asked me to write a poem for his life story book
, she called him "her little man" as you will find I cant
read this without shedding a tear.

I DID MY BEST TO FIGHT FOR YOU
MY PAIN I DIDNT SHOW
I FOUGHT A FIGHT LIKE NO OTHER
A FIGHT TO WATCH YOU GROW

SOME PEOPLE I DONT UNDERSTAND
THEIR SELFISHNESS AND LIES
WHAT MAKES PEOPLE SO WICKED
TO SEVER LOVING TIES

AT SOME POINT ALL GREAT FIGHTERS
HAVE TO FACE DEFEAT
BUT ITS A SORRY STAGE
WHEN BEATEN BY A CHEAT

I HAD TO LET YOU GO
TO START A LIFE ANEW
MAKING THAT DECISION
WAS THE HARDEST THING TO DO

I WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS
AND HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND
IT WAS MY LOVE FOR YOU THAT FORCED ME
TO LET GO OF YOUR LITTLE HAND

I WILL THINK OF YOU ALWAYS
AND I WILL PRAY WHEN I CAN
SOME DAY YOU WILL RETURN
SO I CAN HUG MY LITTLE MAN.

you dont feel my hurt
and you dont feel my pain
i live my nightmare
again and again

i try to keep the little one
from things that are cruel
but i face you, the powers
and your ridicule

this child dosnt need
to be scared and alone
all this child needs
is love and a happy home

so tell me powers that be
why behave this way
why are you hell bent
on taking kids away

dont send the little ones
away and so far
give us a chance to care
best wishes,grandad.........and grandma XX

What is a grandparent

Thanks to Margie Arts for this.

WHAT IS A GRANDPARENT?
(taken from papers written by a class of 8-year-olds)

Grandparents are a lady and a man who have no little children of her own. They like other people's.

A grandfather is a man & a grandmother is a lady!

Grandparents don't have to do anything except be there when we come to see them. They are so old they shouldn't play hard or run. It is good if they drive us to the shops and give us money.

When they take us for walks, they slow down past things like pretty leaves and caterpillars.

They show us and talk to us about the color of the flowers and also why we shouldn't step on 'cracks.'

They don't say, 'Hurry up.'

Usually grandmothers are fat but not too fat to tie your shoes.

They wear glasses and funny underwear.

They can take their teeth and gums out.

Grandparents don't have to be smart. But they are, they know a lot what our parents even don't know

They have to answer questions like 'why isn't God married?' and 'How come dogs chase cats?'.

When they read to us, they don't skip. They don't mind if we ask for the same story over again.

Everybody should try to have a grandmother, especially if you don't have television because they are the only grown ups who like to spend time with us.

They know we should have snack-time before bedtime and they say prayers with us every time and kiss us even when we've acted bad.

A 6 YEAR OLD WAS ASKED WHERE HIS GRANDMA LIVED. ''OH,'' HE SAID, ''SHE LIVES AT THE AIRPORT AND WHEN WE WANT HER WE JUST GO GET HER. THEN WHEN WE'RE DONE HAVING HER VISIT, WE TAKE HER BACK TO THE AIRPORT.''

GRANDPA IS THE SMARTEST MAN ON EARTH! HE TEACHES ME GOOD THINGS BUT I DON'T GET TO SEE HIM ENOUGH TO GET AS SMART AS HIM!

It's funny when they bend over, you hear gas leaks and they blame their dog.'
But dad does the same, when he thinks he is alone

The Mission of Christmas.

Jesus, was born, in a stable, so unkind
His mission on earth was for the sake of mankind.
He lived in a family who were workers in wood
And his life on this earth was only for good

He was an ordinary lad growing up in hard times
But in him stirred something that was spiritually fine
He confounded the wise men with wisdom and lore
And cleared out the temple and told them 'no more'

The story of old is that he healed all the sick
Though some people thought it was some kind of trick.
T’is what YOU believe that matters to you
to listen to his teaching and to follow him too.

The priests at the time were in a bind
If people believed Jesus, then they would find
That they were controlled by lies and deceit
This truth would leave priests facing defeat.

So they plotted against him and brought him to trial
His followers were so frightened they uttered denial
The crucifixion carried out was a terrible blow
Now the truth for mankind, will they never know?

But Jesus’s mission was clear and precise
A message so simple is for all to be nice
‘to love one another as I have loved you’
If you follow this message, God will bless you.

Merry Christmas.
